Death Note
Based on the popular manga in Japan by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata, Death Note depicts the story of high school genius Light Yagami. Bored of his life and society in general, Yagami uses a Death Note dropped by the shinigami (death god) Ryuk in order to purge the world of evil. However, matters start getting out of hand when the Japanese Police Force tries to solve the case of the mysterious criminal deaths, and the fact that they are working with master detective L proves a real challenge to Light. -tv.com
